Quick overview of common terms we use in our documentation.

Apps and environments

  • Web app Agrello web application, where user can sign and share files. (docs.agrello.io)
  • Mobile app(s) Agrello Android & iOS apps
  • Web Generally, Agrello marketing website (www.agrello.io)
  • Public API A programmatic interface to Agrello platform functionality.

Documents, spaces and signatures

  • Document A container that includes uploaded files, invitations, signatures (once issued) and linked to users who are either invited as Signers or Viewers to the document.
  • File An object on a computer systems that stores data digitally. In our context it is a part of the Document.
  • Signature A Unique digital fingerprint composed of user’s Digital identity and signing private key following XAdES standard for XML based electronic signatures.
  • ASiC container A specific download format (as specified by ETSI standard) for the Document, that includes Files and Signatures
  • Space Entity that groups the document and users who have access to these documents.
  • Invitation Request sent to user to provide a signing or viewing access for the document or space.

Users

  • User A person who has created an Account in our system
  • Verified user A User who has passed the Real person verification process
  • Basic user A User who has passed the Email verification process
  • Free customer A customer who has subscribed to the Free pricing tier of the products
  • Standard customer A customer who has subscribed to the Standard pricing tier of the products
  • Professional customer A customer who has subscribed to Professional pricing tier of the products
  • Viewer A User who has been granted an access to the Document for viewing purposes without the possibility to sign it
  • Signer A User who has been granted an access to the Document for signing purposes.
  • Author A User who created the document
  • Device A mobile device where the Agrello app is installed and which is linked to the User

Digital identity

  • Digital identity A X509 certificate that is created based on a Verification session and linked to a User and Device, accompanied by the set of public-private keys for signing stored on the User’s device.
  • Verification session A process that provides a data about the user.
  • Real person verification session A Verification session that establishes the authenticity of the person’s ID document and the session creator’s sameness to the said ID document. Results on the Digital Identity that is based on the data on the person’s ID document.
  • Email verification session A Verification session that established that the User has access to the declared email address and results with the Digital identity that is based on the email.
