Better templates

We’ve upgraded templates in Agrello to make document creation more flexible.

What's new:

  • MS Docx is now the recommended template format for better layout and formatting control.

  • Fields support up to 500 characters and automatically adapt to document formatting

  • Bulk document creation are also now on docx, no need to convert into PDF.

  • Edit fields after sending out, as long as the document hasn’t been signed yet

We went through a massive under the hood upgrade with our templates. Previously Agrello relied on PDF, but it had some formatting issues, particularly with fields that had longer content. So the decision was made to migrate to well known format - docx.

Although we still support old PDF template, we recommend to migrate to docx templates, as they are easier to change and they play nicer with longer content.

Edit sent already sent out documents

Another nifty thing about docx format is that this also gives the document owner the possibility to edit the documents after they are sent out. This can be handy in situations where a client finds a mistake or requests some changes in the contract. Previously, one should have started from scratch, but now you can simply edit the fields (1) or even the document body (2).

Bulk create

And the bulk creation also works well. So no need to convert templates into the PDF anymore. Read more on how to create templates from here and use bulk create here.
